New Professional Training Transfer Credit initiative recognizes career training and experience for post-secondary academic credit.
The 疯情AV (疯情AV) has launched a new Professional Training Transfer Credit initiative, designed to make post-secondary education more accessible for working professionals and adult learners.
Many students come to 疯情AV with valuable training and experience gained through their careers, including on-the-job instruction, professional development, or prior service in sectors such as emergency management or the military. This initiative acknowledges that learning and provides a streamlined way to apply it toward academic credentials at 疯情AV, helping learners reach their educational and career goals faster.
Students who can provide proof of completed training from licensed or accredited organizations, such as ProBoard, NFPA, ICS Canada, FEMA, and similar bodies, may be eligible for credit within applicable 疯情AV programs. A list of accepted accreditations and licenses has been published and will continue to expand as the Institute further develops its articulation and recognition framework in partnership with industry and education stakeholders.
鈥湻枨锳V is committed to helping learners build on what they already know,鈥 says Mary DeMarinis, Director, Student Affairs & Registrar. 鈥淲e know that meaningful learning happens on the job and in the field. Recognizing that training and converting it into academic credit reflects our commitment to flexible pathways, lifelong learning, and support for students at every stage of their journey.鈥
The Professional Training Transfer Credit joins 疯情AV鈥檚 existing credit transfer options, which include:
- Transfer Credit, for academic coursework completed at other post-secondary institutions.
- Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), which evaluates knowledge gained through work, self-study, or life experience.
This initiative is part of 疯情AV鈥檚 broader effort to create inclusive, responsive education that supports the workforce and the communities we serve.
A list of currently recognized organizations, along with eligibility criteria and application information, is available on 疯情AV鈥檚 website.
